Good By October

Ok, so I haven't been real good at updating this thing lately and now I find myself in November and needing to show all of you the stuff we have been doing the past few weeks. We grew huge pumpkins this year in our garden and so that I didn't have to carve them all I gave one to each of the families that live here on the compound with us, and we had the First Annual Coleman
Family Carve Off. It was a blast. Each of the families came up with awesome thing for their pumpkins and we played lots of games and had a great time. This is our pumpkin "Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hyde" because it had a happy face on one side and monster face on the other.
We have been working a lot outside these past few weeks. One of the "honey do's" that I gave Gregg when he got back was to tare down the old shed and put up a new one. Little did i know that it would turn into a great big project that has taken up was more time then i thought it ever would. But the kids and Gregg have loved it. Almost on a daily basis you can find all of our family out side with hammers, chalk lines, nails, and sometimes bandages. Brenix is more than happy to show how high he can climb up the ladder while Mom has a heart attack.
When all the work is done for the day, who doesn't like to take a nap? MaKayla was sent back one day to do just that, sleep. When i went to check on her this is what i found. Her sleeping in one of her drawers! Was i mad...a little. Did i laugh...oh yah! I mean does this look comfy to you?
And poor poor Brenix. On Thursday of this last week he got a bloody nose. We didn't think much of it, until the next morning when he woke up and was still bleeding. I took him into see the doctor and we found out he had a sinus infection, that had spread down to his nose (making it bleed), ear infections, and throat infection. WE HAD NO IDEA! The doctor said he should have been the most miserable little boy around, and yet he was sitting there playing peek a boo with her. So i brought him home, gave him the antibiotics that they gave him, and then he feel asleep just like this. What a trooper

And this shows both of my kids on the roof of the new shed with their Dad. Yet another terrifying moment for Mom. Ya got to love the kids who love a thrill and their Dad for letting them try just about anything.
